DONATE TO KUUMBA
> A 5013(C) Not-for-profit Organization
The Carter G. Woodson Committee has been making great strides
over the years to develop a Cultural/Learning center for the youth of North Florida to create, promote and sustain culture. Our focus lies in the heart
of Jacksonville's oldest, historic Eastside community, aka "Lil' Harlem".
The community overflows with hidden treasures with archives of culture and heritage of Jacksonville's most profound historic sites and icons ,
such as Bob Hayes Monument, Buster's Restaurant, The Anderson Store, James Weldon Johnson, and many more!
Your contribution will go along way in assisting our staff with planning and logistics, such as:
- Computer equipment
- Marketing and presentation materials
- Event registration and advertisement services
- Food and beverages for the festival
Soon we will offer the ability to make donations online!

African/African-American
Cultural Arts Festival
On Memorial Day weekend, families flock to A Philip Randolph Park in Jacksonville to witness artists expressing their creative talents in poetry, Afro-Caribbean music and dance. It's where the Kwanzaa principle of creativity comes alive. The activities include informative workshops that feed the soul and rekindle the desire to build unity in the community through the creative arts.
